I started photographing families when I was 15, when my Dad, who is a photographer, bought me my very first camera. I was babysitting all the time throughout highschool, and became a full time nanny after high school (a day job I had for 11 years) so I always had a variety of subjects to photograph and access to great darkrooms. Now I have two children of my own who are very familiar to the clicking sound my shutter makes. I love interacting and working with children, and I love connecting with parents. Mostly, I love capturing moments and images of families that define and archive what life is like. Families are constantly growing and changing, from one week to the next things can look so different. I love that I get to photograph families over and over again, getting to record those changes, and watch families and children grow. Some of my favorite images and best work is in this gallery.
